Forest tenure reform workshop in Hanoi, Vietnam
On January 25th, RECOFTC and RRI held a national workshop in Hanoi, Vietnam to share the findings of two forest tenure reform studies conducted by RECOFTC. Workshop participants included 25 individuals from three provinces in Vietnam (Dak Lak, Hoa Binh, Ha Giang), and representatives from research and civil society organizations in Vietnam.
The workshop focused on the findings of two forest tenure reform studies:
- Forest Tenure Reform in Vietnam: Case studies from the Northern Uplands and Central Highlands Regions
- National and Provincial Data on Forest Resources, Poverty, Tenure and Markets in Vietnam (Vietnam Forestry University)
In January, representatives from RRI and RECOFTC also met with the Deputy Director General of the Department of Forestry, Dr. Pham Duc Tuan, in Hanoi to share the findings of studies on forest tenure reform.
These tenure reform studies are now being finalized and will be posted by RRI and RECOFTC when they are complete.
