REFACOF Video on Ndokohi (Cameroon)’s women adapting to climate change through sustainable and green business initiatives.

 

(Preview in Spanish) In commemoration of Earth day, on April 22 Greenpeace and National Geographic presented “La Revolución Forestal” on television in Mexico. The video traces Greenpeace and National Geographic on their trip through four forest communities around the country in order to show how community forest management can help stop deforestation and allow the country to witness a true forest revolution. The full video shows that felling trees in a controlled manner is an effective solution to preserve forests and improve the quality of life of forest dwellers.


 

Full length video from the RRI panel event held on February 1, 2012 at the London Royal Society. At the event RRI released its 2011-2012 annual review on the state of rights and resources titled, TURNING POINT: What future for forest peoples and resources in the emerging world order?
